Warlock is among the the most powerful PvE classes if played correctly, and with the right talent tree you’ll be almost invincible while soloing, and experience zero downtime.

The most effective soloing tree is Affliction, since it is extremely powerful and mana efficient when leveling, which results in a Warlock that never needs to eat or drink.

The main purpose of this build is to make best use of your mana efficiency while keeping a really high DPS up. This will help you to continue killing without stop. The very first ability you need to pick up, should be the Improved Corruption. Improved Soul Drain can help your mana efficiency, while Soul Siphon and Improved Life Drain will increase your overall effectiveness.

Fel Concentration is one of the best talents in the Affliction tree, as it will help you to ‘drain-tank’ your enemies. When choosing this class as, is is required to know first the importance of the warlock class. The warlocks are the the top crowd controllers in WoW. A good Shaman leveling guide will point out that fast Shaman leveling depends on lots of melee damage output. Shamans now have the ability to heal very well in groups if they spec through the restoration tree. There are very few advantages to leveling through the restoration tree and because we are focusing on leveling, I will exclude them from this guide. Between the two trees left, Elemental and Enhancement, there is really no bonus in leveling to either; it depends on how you like to play. If you like to melee then choose Enhancement, if you like to cast then use Elemental. I prefer to melee so I like to use Enhancement.

Some notes:

You’re conserving mana for healing yourself because most of your damage is melee. No down time.

You’ll be tempted to pull enemies with a ranged spell-try not to. You don’t save any time by doing so and your mana is best used healing yourself.

With each critical hit, “Flurry” speeds up your attacks and spikes your damage output.

“Maelstrom Weapon” mitigates damage from melee combat and allowing you instant healing.

“Dual Wield” boosts damage enough to make it worth foregoing a shield. Weapon choice here is crucial.

Choosing a Race

Step one in setting up your Shaman is to pinpoint the perfect race for your needs. Before choosing a race and faction for your Shaman, there are a few things you need to consider. Different Races within the World of Warcraft have several different abilities, called Racial Traits, which make them stand out amongst each other. Although none of these Racial Traits can be considered “game breaking”, they do make a difference if you’re going to be staring at your selections from behind for days on end!

Once upon a time, Shamans were only available for Horde. Now, you can choose for both Horde and Alliance, though Alliance players are stuck with Draenei only. Luckily, that’s one of the better Alliance races for leveling your Shaman.

Solo

A Shaman is very good at playing solo. Probably one of the better solo players in the game. One popular technique to use when PvE: casting a couple lightnings on the mob, use your lightning shield can often leave a mob greatly weakened before it even reaches you. Open up with Melee, while your totems are layed out around you, with your lightning shield on. Now Flame Shock, and as your shocks refreshes the mob will be running or already close to it, at which point you can cast a frost shock to stop it dead in it’s tracks and finish it off.

Quest

This Enhancement build is best solo. A group is only as fast as its slowest member and fastest Shaman leveling is through solo questing.

• Get comfortable with “Earth Shock” and “Lightning Bolt”. They’re indispensable for soloing.
• Drop a Stoneskin Totem for defense before a fight.
• In-group, your only role should be Damage Dealer. But…
• Avoid grouping in favor of solo questing.
• Do not tank for groups. Wait until maximum level.
• Do not heal for groups. Ditto.
• Repeat: Do not grind.

Professions

Once again, as with all classes, I recommend maxing out First Aid skill. Whether you are a healer class or not, First Aid will always be a source of additional HP’s. Having first aid simply gives the Shaman more emergency HP access and this is always useful in PvP OR PvE. Alchemy/Herbalism is my recommended profession. The potions generated from Alchemy can be used while in combat and to me are more useful than anything else (except possibly the explosives you get from Engineering).

Gear and Weapons

Because your Shaman can be any number of different builds, you’re going to need different stats depending on your build. If you go with an Enhancement Shaman, load up on the Strength, Stamina and Agility stats. If you go with an Elemental Shaman, you should be looking for Intelligence and Stamina. In fact, Stamina should be high on your list no matter what you spec you are because if you’re a low level character with not enough health, you’re going to die a LOT. It can and will make a huge difference!

For the most part, you’ll find all the gear you need from quests. But if you find yourself behind at any point, keep in mind that Shamans before Level 40 wear Cloth and Leather depending on their spec (cloth tends to have better magic stats while leather will help you out with the heavy duty skull cracking stats). Once you reach Level 40, mail is possible and can provide all the stats you need for either spec. If you roll Enhancement, seek out any gear that says “of the Bear”. If you’re an Elementalist, load up on “of the Eagle”.

Shaman 1-80 leveling Guide

The best way to get to level 80 fast is to do it with a pre-written leveling guide. WoW has thousands of quests and a few million mobs to grind and it’s easy to get lost (in terms of what to do next) or just bored. A full-blown guide will make your blast to 80 much smoother.

Dungeon is a general fantasy term for an underground adventuring area that has been conflated in World of Warcraft to mean almost any instance. There are two major questions every World of Warcraft player is always looking for the answer to, and dungeon leveling provides the perfect solution to both of these questions. Fastest experience gain every 60 minute block: Leveling with four different online players will mean you will certainly be eliminating monsters non-stop using the help of your group. There is exceptionally little downtime and elite monsters may give you more experience points as well.

You get to complete dungeon quests: Dungeon quests give dual experience points due to the fact dungeon quests are considered a lot more challenging by Blizzard, which means that they have increased the rewards to entice more gamers to enter dungeons. Completing 4 dungeon quests is pretty much like completing 8 solo quests

Druids are versatile and are a jack of all trades. Talking about trades, you might wonder which professions suit a Druid best? Skinning and Leatherworking

Druids wear leather armor and that’s why Leatherworking is such a great choice. It doesn’t really matter which talent build you want to follow, a Leatherworker can make great items for healing, tanking and DPS Druids. There are also some nice Armor kits, Embroideries and other nice things you can craft with Leatherworking. Skinning of course goes well with Leatherworking because it will provide you with most of the materials needed for Leatherworking.

Alchemy and Herbalism

Another great combination are Alchemy and Herbalism. As a Herbalist you will be able to gather flowers that can be used to make potions, elixirs and flasks which will boost your strengths. A great variety of potions and other consumables can be made with Alchemy. Some will boost a Druids healing power, while others increase DPS, hit points and armor and a lot of other handy boosts will be given. One can also make an Alchemist stone with Alchemy which is a trinket that is really nice for any particular build. A nice thing about Alchemy is that you will also make a lot of healing and mana potions as you level which you can drink to save your life or full up some mana to minimize downtime.

Mining and Jewelcrafting

Jewelcrafting is a great profit maker. Everybody needs gems at some points and you’re the one that can make them! It will not only save you a lot of money because you don’t need to buy other’s gems, but you can also sell many of them on the AH or on Trade channel. Besides that you can also craft a variety of necklaces, trinkets, rings and much more. Mining goes well with Jewelcrafting because you will need a lot of ores and gems and this is where Mining comes in handy.

You can see that the above three combinations all have a gather profession. You know what is great about a Druid. At a later level you get Flight Form which is an instant cast which makes a Druid a terrific gatherer. Flying around the map will be a lot faster with a Druid, you can even gather herbs while in Flight Form! Druid Leveling Guides and many websites will have all the items you can make with these professions lined up for you. So just look around a bit and try to level up a profession as you go to enhance your fun. I hope this Druid Leveling guide will help you to achieve more with your Druid.

A Druid is another Hybrid class that World of Warcraft has to offer. This is most likely one of the nicest classes to level up because of the shape shifting abilities, a huge variety of spells and abilities and more and this WoW Druid Guides will share with you more about that. The Druid also has one of the most powerful buffs in the game called Mark of The Wild. The Druids are part of the Cenarion Circle, a group that serves and protects nature and consists from mainly Night Elves and Druids. You can only choose the Night Elf or Tauren race if you want to play a Druid.

Druids can be separated into three categories:

Balance Druids

Balance Druids use a combination of Nature and Arcane spells to deal a lot of damage. They are the spell casting version of the Druids and at should follow the Balance talent tree in order to maximize their DPS. There are a lot of WoW Druid Guides out there that give you several different talent trees but you basically don’t have much choices. You can either spend all your talent points on the Balance talent tree or choose to put a few in the Restoration tree to become a better Shape shifter and get some extra mana regeneration. The Balance Druid obtains some nice AoE spells but can also do a lot of damage on single targets. They can Shape Shift into a Moonkin which gives them and their party members critical strike bonus with spells, haste rating and the Moonkin himself some bonus armor.

Feral Druids

Feral Druids should follow the Feral Combat talent tree in order to be able to tank and DPS properly. A Druid is able to Shape Shift in Bear and Dire Bear form to gain a lot of Armor and health which will allow him to be a great tank. A Druid in Bear Form will have to use rage to be able to use his abilities and gains several attacks which do a nice amount of damage and create a high amount of threat. A Feral Druid is also able to go into Cat form and deal great amounts of damage. The style of combat of a Druid in Catform is pretty similar to a Rogue’s play style, including combo points, finishing moves and Energy use.

As a Feral Druid you are able to both tank or DPS in dungeons and raids and are specialized in melee combat. You are still able to come out of your form however and throw a heal or two on yourself which is nice while leveling.

Restoration Druid

A Restoration Druid focuses on the healing aspect of the Druid and is a very good healer class. A Restoration Druid is known for his Heal over Time (Hot) spells but also has several instant heals that serve can be used when their target is losing hit points too fast. With the WoTLK expansion they have also gained a smaller heal called Nourish and now they are really nice all round healers. The good thing about a Restoration Druid is that he can’t go out of mana. They are Spirit based characters, meaning that they need a lot of Spirit and this is why they have a lot of mana regeneration. The Form available only to Restoration Druid, The Tree of Life, is great because it lowers the mana cost of some healing spells and increases the healing done to party and raid members. This build is not really suited for leveling but it is great to heal with if you plan to do a lot of instances, raids or arenas.

Leveling your Paladin is much the same as leveling other characters, but there are a few specific guidelines one should adhere to. In this WoW Paladin Guide you will learn a lot of simple things that you can do to get the most out of your character and thereby level up in the most effective way.

Paladin Summary

Paladins are one of the four hybrid classes in the game. They can do a little bit of everything and when it comes to leveling, they do it all very well. Killing a Paladin in PvE content is downright a pain – it takes a LOT of time to wear one down, with the healing, armor, and big heavy swings they can throw out there. Paladins have a ton of self-administered buffs, spells, and bubbles that you need to master if you even remotely plan on reaching the top tier of this class. Another big problem that sends so many people for a Paladin leveling guide is the mana issue. These guys are not casters by nature, but they use a lot of mana. So, as you can guess, they have woefully little in the way of Mana. If you don’t manage it well, it’s OOM for you.

Paladin Race

Alliance: Alliance gets the choice between three classes for that big bad mace wielder – Humans, Dwarfs, or Draenei. The Humans and Dwarfs are the old school Paladins from the beginnings of the game – so they’re set up with the basic stats you may want for this class.

That said, the Human race doesn’t offer much that’s very useful. It’s a bit boring too – though the starting area for humans is a cakewalk and travel is minimal to get to the next area (Westfall is right there). Dwarfs have Stoneform, which is unspeakably cool for any class, but their racial boosts are for ranged stuff. Not exactly a Paladin’s strongsuit. That leaves the Draenei who are great for any class – as is the case with most expansion add-on classes. If you’re aiming for a good Draenei Paladin, you could do much worse. Having the Gift of the Naruu is going to be HUGE early on when your own healing efforts are so limited.

Horde: Only one choice here, so that’s that. If you’re a Horde player and want a Paladin – it’s the Blood Elf or nothing (at least until Cataclysm hits). What does that mean? Not a whole lot really, though your ability to load up on the mana centered talents of a Blood Elf is nice for the mana hogs that are Paladins. A good class for this all the way around.

Retribution Paladin Leveling Guide

As a Retribution Paladin your primary job is to hit things and to hit things hard. Just make sure to stay alive while doing it. Ret Paladins are all about swinging a big slow two handed weapon while being able to heal through any damage that may be taken. At lower levels Retribution leveling can seem somewhat boring and uneventful. You will spend most of your time killing 1-2 mobs at a time and doing it fairly quickly, but just not as quickly as most of us Ret buffs would like. Once you get Divine Storm you will find yourself making the most of your time by AOE leveling on 3-4 mobs at once. Because Divine Storm hits up to 4 targets and heals you as well it makes a good skill to AOE grind with. Here is my Paladin Retribution Spec from level 10 to 80.

Leveling a Protection Paladin

Well the obvious advantage is a holy Paladin is amazing at healing. This is why many people always try to get a Paladin in their Guild or party. Another great advantage of the holy paladin is they are very mana efficient, this comes in handy very often.

Some disadvantages is the Paladin Leveling is difficult because questing can sometimes be a challenge. Also grinding can be a challenge many times. So leveling a Paladin of this sort can be stressful, but in the end its a very rewarding experience.

Leveling a Protection Paladin

Trying to level as a Protection Paladin? I’d like to give you some tips on the best way to approach this task and tell you some of the advantages of leveling as a Protection Paladin in World of Warcraft. Paladin leveling of this type is fairly simple. Some advantages that a Protection Paladin has is this type of build has great buffs and is a great type of Paladin build if you’re using Grinding to level up.

The Protection Paladin has many different protection buffs that come right off of the protection talent tree. Using the different buffs that this build offers can help you in creating a very successful Paladin character. Leveling a Paladin of this build will be very easy because of these buffs, and Grinding will be very easy because I’ve had times where I could kill mobs of more than 15 monsters.

Leveling with a Protection Paladin also has the advantage of the different types of items you can use. My favorite item to use with this kind of Paladin is the augmenting holy shield. Also if you playing as this type of Paladin it would be in your best interest to work on your Reckoning, and Blessing of Sanctuary talents. The Protection Paladin is a great type of build you can use, and it’s my favorite build.

Profession Choices

With the introduction of the benefits of trade skills and the increase in how fast toons level now, I feel it has no down side to having a gathering profession while leveling. Just don’t spend all your time crafting things as well if you want to level as fast as possible. Here are some of the options you have to choose from.

Mining – Gather ore from nodes, in turn allowing you to either smelt the ore into bars, or sell/keep the ore. (Mining now also gives a stamina bonus based on what level the gather skill is) 450 skill now grants you +60 to your base stamina.

Herbalism – Gather plants from all around the land, either sell these on the auction house or pick up alchemy as well to create potions. You could also choose to do inscription and create glyphs as well as rare cards later on. (A good way to make some extra cash early on is using herbalism and selling the herbs. Herbalism now also gives you a heal over time type of spell, this is helpful for certain classes but as a Paladin you can already heal yourself fairly easily.)

Skinning – Skin all of the beast mobs you kill collecting furs and skins. (The bonus with skinning at max level is increasing your critical strike rating by 40 points.)

The three professions above are normally the better ones to choose while leveling as they will help you to collect and make some extra gold while leveling. I normally choose 2 gathering professions then when I hit 80 I drop them for two professions I can really benefit from, such as blacksmithing and jewel crafting.

Gear and Weapons

Gear for a good Retribution Paladin can be a pain in the backside. There are a lot of different things you’ll need as you level to keep those stats nice and even. You could be working on getting some more mana to maintain your seals and judgments or you could be focused on increasing your strength enough so that you can land some bigger hits with that hefty sword of yours.

At first, you’ll work with some basic mail armor – the key stats to aim for when you get started is Strength, then Intellect, then Stamina for some much needed health, Agility to too boost your critical attack rate, and Crit rating. That should set you up pretty well as you level up – well enough to keep the mana pool flowing and your damage blowing over anyone in sight.

When you reach Level 40, make sure to have a nice stock of Plate armor on hand. It’s going to cost a LOT to do this with gold, so save your quest rewards from level 33 on so that you can just swap over your stats when needed. If that fails, make sure to keep the right stats on equally leveled mail armor. Sometimes, those nifty healing boosts are only available when you load up on mail gear.

For your weapon, you want to find a big, heavy 2 handed sword to knock some teeth out and show who’s boss. Get the slowest weapon with the biggest damage range. Trust me, this will be the way to go with almost any melee class.
